My Little Monkeys

While making breakfast this morning I heard a commotion in the playroom. I new that both of the boys were out there so I peeked around the corner just to make sure Jay didn't have Nate in a headlock or anything and this is what I saw.....

They are such little monkeys! We are going to be in real trouble because Nate is a climber and can already climb onto the couch. I don't know what I am going to do with them.

Where o' where is the wind?

The boys went sailing for the first time on Friday. It would have been better if we had some wind but, there wasn't any and they got a little bored. We had a picnic lunch on the boat and motored back to the dock. It was Nate's naptime so he was ill and as soon as we got back into the car he fell asleep. Jay "helped" Mommy and Daddy clean up the boat. Maybe next time will be better.

Jay's 4th Birthday

Jay's 4th birthday was on Wednesday the 13th this year. We celebrated with a spaghetti dinner and cupcakes. We had a party on the following Saturday in our backyard. Mommy and Daddy spent all week putting together a new wooden swing set for his birthday present. We got it done just in time for his party. Of course we had a Cars themed birthday because what else would it be? Daddy told Jay that he better love his present because it would be the only present he got until his 16th birthday. Can you tell it was expensive? Anyway, Jay has loved playing pirates on it and hopefully he will continue to love it for many years to come.

Howdy from Myrtle Beach!

We have returned home from our week long vacation to Myrtle Beach. We had so much fun playing in the ocean and swimming. Jay really loved the ocean. We couldn't keep him out of it. We also visited many local sites like Hard Rock Cafe, Joe's Crab Shack, Ron Jon's Surf Shop, Margaritaville, and many more. Jay and Nate loved the Ripley's Believe it or not Aquarium and the local zoo. Jay got to go the children's museum with mommy and daddy for a little one on one time. He really liked making the pizzas. I am sure you couldn't imagine that. Nate traveled better than we thought he would and had fun at Margaritaville in the chairs. He didn't like the beach or the ocean but loved the pool. He also loved to relax on his big bed.
